1) I think the characther Beowulf is very courageous. Throughout his life he fought terrible monsters that tortured people. He would go in to help without knowing the monsters weaknesses or strengths.
Courage to me is facing something that seems scary or hard for you. It is standing up to your fears and finding strength to overcome them. My stepmom showed courage when she was diagnosed with breast cancer and had to go through treatment and surgery all by herself.
Week 2
2)The concept of Beowulf is interesting but how they put it together in our literature book seemed rushed and unorganized. For the most part Beowulf is pretty easy to understand. I only got lost a few times.
While I’m reading something that seems difficult to understand or has difficult names and language i reread things over to make sure I understand it and get what is going on. If I can’t understand it on my owni ask for help.
Week 2
1)The Ninja Turtles are my favorite superheros. They save people who are in danger or they catch the bad guys. The Ninja turtles are funny superheros. They help people without asking for anything in return.
To me hero means someone who does a good deed without expecting anything be given back to them. They do it to benefit others and because they are good people. A hero is someone who puts others before themselves.
Week 1
Qualities of a good leader are: a good listener, trustworthy, honest, confident and open minded. A good leader is someone who listens to what others have to say, who leades with the best of their abilities and who works hard for what they believe in. There have been many leaders in the past years, such as Eleanor Roosevelt, Martin Luther King Jr., Rosa Parks, Oprah Winfrey and others.
